Waiting as Its Own Reward
Yeah, right.
Okay, the woman I want to be relishes waiting and all that comes up with the waiting and anticipation.
The kids? The protectors? No way. No how.
“Now” is the new waiting.
But it isn’t. I found so many things this week while waiting. Why in the world would I give that up?
It seems like there are kids that only come up during waiting. They need to time and space to figure out if they want to get picked up or not.
Do I really want to tell them to figure out another way? Too bad, so sad, we are moving too fast to pick you up?
Okay, now the kids and protectors feel a little bad. They didn’t realize how important to other kids and protectors the waiting might be.
So while I don’t know if the waiting itself is a big reward, certainly finding the kids who need waiting is the best reward ever

Learning to wait, learning to have patience, is definitely something that sounds like a worthwhile goal. And picking up the kids is always a big bonus!
